Issey Ogata interview

Well, F/T is sadly over for another year, leaving us without much to do with ourselves…

Fear not, since Shunkin is about to kick off for the third time at Setagaya Public Theatre! If Eri Fukatsu and Simon McBurney are not your cups of tea then you can always rely on Issey Ogata for some enthralling entertainment.

The man of 600 faces is how Raj Mahtani phrases it and you see what he means in this interview with the prolific performer.

Ogata will next be showing his Kore kara no seikatsu (Life From Now) solo play in Harajuku in December. See the actor’s website for schedule and details.

Western audiences might be most familiar with his taboo-breaking role as Emperor Hirohito in the Russian film The Sun.
