Robert Lepage’s The Blue Dragon in Tokyo

Robert Lepage’s The Blue Dragon is currently touring and has arrived at Tokyo’s Metropolitan Art Space with all the technical virtuosity you would expect from this creator.

Typical of a Lepage piece, the set and projections are partly the star of the production but the narrative features three people in Shanghai, exploring love, motherhood and the relationship between China and the west.

Performed mostly in Chinese and French, with some English, and Japanese surtitles, The Blue Dragon runs from November 11 to 14.
