Robert Allan Ackerman‘s interesting 1945 is to be shown on NHK on March 13th at 22:30. I saw the play last year at the Setagaya Public Theatre, staged by his troupe the company.
The NHK show is quite a good way to catch theatre. They show a play every four weeks or so, and for the most part it tends to be performances from the last year (and sometimes very recent indeed). I have seen a range of stuff but they like showing Nozomi Makino plays in particular it seems. Unfortunately it is always broadcast in the late-night slot and for those lucky people with social lives on Fridays it might be difficult.
